Huron Pines AmeriCorps
Members will improve 600 acres of public land and improve or create 200 miles of trails or waterways. These improvements will result in fewer new introductions and lower populations of invasive species, protection and restoration of critical habitats, and increased environmental awareness and education. AmeriCorps members will leverage an additional 1,500 volunteers to improve at-risk ecosystems that are integral to the Great Lakes Watershed and increase behavioral changes that lead directly to improvement of at-risk ecosystems in Northeast Michigan. Huron Pines AmeriCorps has 26 members located throughout Michigan.
