Email Filings
Effective August 1, 2025, the WDCAC will begin accepting filings by email (as permitted by Appellate Administrative Rule 3(2)(c)).
Only those filings sent to the WDCAC's official Email address, LEO-WDCAC@michigan.gov, will be accepted.
Requirements for Email Filings:
- File Format: Only PDF or Word documents will be accepted. Other formats will be rejected.
- Legibility: All documents must be clear and legible.
- File Naming: File names must begin with the WDCAC docket number and a short description (e.g., "23-0000_pl_brief").
- Service Certification: Certification must include a statement that has all parties were served, specifying who was served, how, and when.
- Time of Filing: Documents will be considered filed on the date received between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. (Lansing time). according to the WDCAC's email system. To confirm delivery, request a delivery receipt if available.
- Email Content: The text of the email will not be considered part of the filing. All arguments or requests must be included in the attached document.
