Elected Operators Committee Overview
The Elected Operators Committee meets a minimum of four (4) times each year. Committee actions may affect the administration of the program. Members of the committee work with BEP staff to solve program policy issues. Operators who are not members of the committee are encouraged to discuss issues with the Committee prior to any regular meeting.
Committee meetings are generally held on Saturdays and continue until all business of the day has been handled. Issues may be discussed by the Elected Operators Committee as a whole or referred to a subcommittee. The recommendations which are produced are presented to the Commission at a future meeting of the Commission. In this way the Elected Operators Committee carries out its mandate to serve an active and meaningful role in the operation of the program.
