Teacher Appreciation Month
Teacher Appreciation Month
May is Teacher Appreciation Month
May 2-6, 2022 is specifically designated as National Teacher Appreciation Week
Recognizing Michigan's hardworking and dedicated educators - including celebrating the work of classroom teachers during the month of May - is an important piece of the Michigan Department of Education's (MDE) strategic initiative. In appreciation of all Michigan Teachers, each May, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) has a few opportunities for all to show their gratitude to those teachers who have positively impacted students' lives.
Submit A Public Shout-Out
MDE invites students and community members to help highlight our state's incredible teachers and show their gratitude to those teachers who have positively impacted them through a public shout-out - a digital submission to recognize and thank a specific teacher for his/her impact. Submissions will be posted on MDE's Office of Educator Excellence (@MIeducator) Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages throughout the month of May using #MIteachAppreesh and can be submitted using the online form or by emailing MTOY@Michigan.gov with "Teacher Shoutout" in the subject line.
