Teacher Appreciation Month
May 6-10, 2024, is specifically designated as National Teacher Appreciation Week
Recognizing Michigan's hardworking and dedicated educators is an important piece of the Michigan Department of Education's (MDE) strategic initiative. Once again, we will be celebrating Michigan’s teachers during the entire month of May – not just the week of May 6-10!
Watch our daily videos for Teacher Appreciation Month
Michigan Department of Education (MDE), along with the State Board of Education, express their deepest gratitude to Michigan’s teachers for their outstanding contributions to their students, schools, communities, and the teaching profession.
Each day during May, you can watch a new video that was submitted by Michigan’s students and their families expressing appreciation for their teachers. Click “Play” on the video link to the right to watch!
All videos are featured on the MDE YouTube channel.
