The Executive Committee was convened to provide the Michigan Department of Education’s Office of Career and Technical Education (MDE-OCTE) and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) with stakeholder input and consultation in the development and implementation of the State Plan for Career and Technical Education (CTE).
The 2020-24 Michigan State Plan for CTE was developed in consultation with appropriate agencies, groups, and individuals, including: teachers, faculty, specialized instructional support personnel, paraprofessionals, school leaders, authorized public chartering agencies and charter school leaders (consistent with state law), employers, representatives of business (including small businesses), labor organizations, local recipients, local program administrators, state and local officials, Indian Tribes, or Tribal organizations present in the state, parents, students, and community organizations.
