EGLE strives to promote healthy communities, economic growth, and environmental sustainability through pollution prevention (P2). We support individuals, businesses, and communities by providing educational awareness as well as technical, financial, and referral assistance. EGLE offers a variety of programs each year that focuses on any practice that reduces, eliminates, or prevents pollution at its source before it is created.

EGLE works with businesses to identify and implement pollution prevention, the most effective way to decrease environmental impacts. Pollution prevention helps businesses become more efficient, save money and be a safer place for employees.

Funding Opportunities

EGLE has State and Federal funding available for various P2 related projects, such as diesel engine upgrades or replacements, implementing water and energy conservation practices (non-residential), as well as funding for updates to community plans and polices to incorporate P2 initiatives.
