County Planning Development Tools and Resources
Materials management planning is a program designed to guide the management of counties’ materials, with an emphasis on increasing sustainable practices, such as recycling and composting, in addition to ensuring safe disposal options.
These materials can include food waste, yard clippings, recyclables, other source separated materials, and solid waste.

Mega Data Project
EGLE contracted with Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) to assist with data collection. The project began in May 2020, with a focus on municipalities, counties, haulers and materials management facilities.
