Are You Prepared For Winter Driving?

During the 2024-2025 winter season, there were a total of 33,840 winter-weather crashes, including 53 fatal crashes. Winter weather crash data in Michigan – which is recorded between October 1 and April 30 – involve road conditions that are icy, snowy, or slushy.

Drive Slow on Ice & Snow is a statewide outreach campaign that encourages safe driving habits and urges caution while traveling on Michigan roadways during the winter months.
