To bring awareness to the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer,” a period marked by a sharp rise in traffic fatalities, the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning (OHSP) is launching the Summer Safety Showdown.
The Summer Safety Showdown is a bracket-type competition taking place on the OHSP’s Facebook page that will feature 16 of our best traffic safety videos. Through the competition, you can vote for your favorite videos, which will spread traffic safety awareness and help keep Michiganders safe this summer.
Voting began on the OHSP’s Facebook page on June 12, and now the competition is down to the final two videos - "Impaired and You Know it" and "Worth Dying For." Voting on these videos begins at 8:00 am on August 25 and closes at 8:00 am on August 27.
