Teenage Defensive Driving Program
"Train Like a Trooper"
Teenage Defensive Driving is a five hour program aimed at the teenager. The curriculum includes four hours of hands-on training and one hour of online instruction.
The areas covered in class and reinforced during practical exercises are:
- Defensive driving
- Skid control
- Serpentine
- Controlled braking
- Evasive maneuvering
Class size is limited to 18 students to allow a 3-to-1 student/instructor ratio.
Michigan State Police patrol vehicles will be provided for all driving exercises.
Must be a fully licensed GDL Level 2 driver between the ages of 16-19.

- June 30, 2026
- July 1, 2026
- July 2, 2026
