Public Notice of Seized Cryptocurrency
The Michigan State Police provides notice that 51,615.361429 Tether tokens (USDT) were seized pursuant to a search and seizure warrant issued on March 25, 2026, by the 55th District Court.
Any person or entity claiming an ownership or other legal interest in the seized digital assets must make a claim through the 55th District Court within 30 days of the publication date of this notice. The claimant must contact the court and follow the court’s instructions for making the claim.
After making a claim through the court, the claimant is also requested to notify D/Sgt. Torey Johns that the claim has been made. Contacting D/Sgt. Johns does not constitute making a claim and does not replace compliance with the 55th District Court’s claim procedures.
If an interested party makes a claim, the Michigan State Police will retain the disputed assets pending further order of the court. If no interested party other than the identified victim makes a claim during the notice period, the court-authorized portion of the recovered assets may be returned to the victim with prosecutor approval and as directed by the court.
