In June 2016, as part of the Governor’s recycling initiative, Part 175, Recycling Reporting, of Act 451 became a law. Part 175 requires certain recycling facilities to report the amount of materials recycled each year. To better measure the amount of materials recycled in Michigan, recycling facilities not required to report are encouraged to report voluntarily using the Michigan Recycling Reporting system, housed in Re-TRAC CONNECT. Once collected, reported data will be totaled and made available on-line. Watch the registration tutorial and register today and to report under Part 175 and to help us better measure our recycling efforts. Additionally, if you are interested in helping residents wanting to recycle find your organization, you can sign up in the Michigan Recycling Directory.
