Brownfield Redevelopment Board
The Brownfield Redevelopment Board is authorized by Section 20104a of Part 201, Environmental Remediation, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (Act 451). It sets up the governing body for Michigan's brownfield program, which deals with revitalizing contaminated properties.
This board meets annually to review and update the list of state-owned contaminated properties where the state is liable. More information can be found on these properties through the State Sites Cleanup Program.
