The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) Water Well Viewer (WWV), is an interactive mapping system that displays water wells along with other information, such as wellhead protection areas, underground storage tanks, and sites of environmental contamination. Water well locations have been identified by address matching, the use of global positioning systems (GPS), and by legal descriptions.
This system allows water well drilling and pump installation contractors to submit water well records.
EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.

Water use reporting in Michigan is required for all large quantity water users to track how much water is being withdrawn to support sustainable management of water resources. It provides data to guide planning, protect ecosystems, and ensure compliance with state water laws and Great Lakes Basin agreements.
All water users with the capacity to withdraw over 100,000 gallons per day must report their annual water use to the State of Michigan by April 1 of each year.
Before using the Water Use Reporting System, you must be sent a Reference Code and Reporting Code by mail or email after registering with EGLE.
Invoices are no longer required for Water Use Reporting Fees. Payment can be made online directly after reporting water use, or at the Water Use Reporting Fee payment site.
Payment can also be made by check sent by mail. It must be mailed with the reporting notification letter from EGLE.
