The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) Water Well Viewer (WWV), is an interactive mapping system that displays water wells along with other information, such as wellhead protection areas, underground storage tanks, and sites of environmental contamination. Water well locations have been identified by address matching, the use of global positioning systems (GPS), and by legal descriptions.
This system allows water well drilling and pump installation contractors to submit water well records.
EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.

Finance Division Director
Dan Jaroche serves as Finance Division director for the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), overseeing all financial aspects of the department, from budget development to year-end closing.
The Finance Division also oversees the Michigan Underground Storage Tank Authority (MUSTA) and the Water Infrastructure Funding and Financing Section (WIFFS). MUSTA ensures tank owners and operators can meet federal financial requirements required to operate in Michigan and provides a funding mechanism to address environmental issues. WIFFS provides financing and funding mechanisms to help communities meet drinking water, storm, and sewer infrastructure needs.
As the department's chief financial officer and procurement executive, Dan provides administrative direction and coordination for services related to accounting, budget, procurement, federal aid, travel, and security.
Dan has worked for the State of Michigan for close to 30 years with extensive experience in finance. He began his career in 1996 with the Office of the Auditor General working on various financial, compliance, and performance audits across many State departments. In 2013, he moved to the Accounting and Financial Reporting Division (AFRD) within Office of Financial Management (OFM), where he started out as an accounting manager before becoming a division director. For several years at OFM, he helped lead the AFRD team to the fastest completion of the State’s financial statements in the nation. He also was responsible for overseeing the implementation of several significant accounting standards.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Northern Michigan University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dan is married and lives in Holt. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their four children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include camping, fishing, and attending sporting events.
