EGLE’s MiEnviro Portal for Air goes live for permitting and compliance on December 16

As the Air Quality Division (AQD) at the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) works to put the final touches on the MiEnviro Portal, it has announced that the go-live date for air permitting and compliance reporting will be December 16.
MiEnviro Portal is a comprehensive electronic notification, permitting, emissions reporting, and compliance web-based application.
Important updates and announcements will continue to be shared by the AQD in the coming weeks.
What This Means for MiEnviro users:
- System Access and Navigation:
- Guidance on logging into MiEnviro, navigating the system, and utilizing its features is provided on the MiEnviro for Air webpage. This includes user guides and other resources for using the system.
- Changes to Submittal Processes:
- Permit applications, compliance reports, and other documents will be submitted using MiEnviro. Additional instructions on submitting information through the portal will be posted on the MiEnviro for Air webpage.
Training:
- Online resources on some topics are available including:
- A general overview of MiEnviro for Air.
- A video tutorial is available on how to create a user account and manage user access.
- Written instructions on the system are detailed in the MiEnviro for Air User Guide.
- In addition to these readily available detailed resources, a series of virtual training sessions will be offered to ensure all users are familiar with the new system. Training schedules and instructions on how to participate will be announced soon.
Next Steps:
- Familiarize yourself with the existing resources. Several guidance documents and instructional videos are available and more will be posted in the coming weeks.
- Plan to attend training sessions that may impact your work in the system.
