FIle Transfer Service (FTS)
Formally known as Data Exchange Gateway (DEG)
The Michigan Workers' Disability Compensation Agency accepts specific forms and documents via upload through Michigan File Transfer Service (FTS) formally known as the DEG, a secure electronic file transfer portal. Please note that submission procedures vary depending on the document. Upon completion of any FTS transmission, no confirmation will be sent. You will be contacted only if there is an issue with the submission. Your FTS home screen for your account will indicate when a document was received and downloaded by the WDCA. Following are the mailboxes and corresponding forms that are accepted via FTS:

WC BOM Magistrates (WCMIBOM)
- Documents related to a pending case before the Board of Magistrates
- Documents in support of and approving Redemption of Liability, including
- WC-113 Redemption Order
- WC119-Affidavit in Support of Redemption Agreement
- WC-544 Workers' Settlement Statement
- WC-566 Agreement to Redeem Liability
- WC-556A Addendum to Agreement to Redeem Liability
- Medical reports/records in support of the agreement
- WC-113A Multiple Carrier Redemption Form
- Documents to be used as exhibits in contested case and other types of hearings before a magistrate
WC Appeals (WCMIWDCAC)
- Claim for Review/Appeals to Commission (WC-262)
- Pleadings relating to a pending case before the Appeals Commission, including transcripts, motions (and responses), briefs (and responses), responses to orders, and cross-appeals.
WC Agency (WCMIAGENCY)
- Documents requesting a compliance hearing (WC-40) or related to a pending case before the Director
- Appeals to Director (WC-262)
TO PARTICIPATE IN FTS FILING COMPLETE ONE OR MORE APPLICATIONS:
To Electronically File Forms 100, 400, 401, 107 and 701 - Claims Mailbox
Uploaded forms will only be accepted from carriers approved to write workers' compensation in Michigan, approved self-insurers, and approved group self-insurers or servicing agents approved to act on their behalf. To obtain approval for a servicing agent, the self-insured employer or group fund must submit form WC-450, Application for Authorization by Self-Insured Employer or Group Fund for Servicing Agent FTS User Account and email it to kurikesuj@michigan.gov.
Those interested obtaining a FTS account for 100, 400, 401, 107 and 701's must complete the form WC-460, Application for FTS User Account, and email it to kurikesuj@michigan.gov. Once the form is received and approved you will receive user instructions including User ID and Password.
An insurance carrier group carrier group can have no more than one user ID account.
All uploaded forms must be single page documents, with no attachments. Forms with attachments must continue to be sent by regular mail. Multiple single page documents may be submitted in a single upload as long as each individual document is identified by the form number at the beginning of each document name.
To Electronically File Forms 104A, 104B, and 104C - Claims Mailbox
Uploaded 104A, 104B and 104C will only be accepted from attorneys/firms approved to practice in Michigan, carriers approved to write workers' compensation in Michigan, approved self-insurers and approved group self-insurers or servicing agents approved to act on their behalf, and health care providers. If you are interested in participating, please complete form WC-480, Application for FTS User Account BOM, WDCA, WDCAC, Agency, and email it to kurikesuj@michigan.gov. Once the form is received and approved you will receive user instructions including User ID and password.
An insurance carrier group can have no more than one user ID account.
If you already have an account as an DEG or FTS user, you do not need to fill out a new application. You will however need to follow the instructions specific to submitting any Form 104.
If you submit the 104 form using the FTS portal, please do not send a copy to the Agency in any other format (ex. mail or fax).
Multiple-page documents may be submitted in a single upload, but each file must be identified by the form number (ex. 104A, 104B, or 104C) at the beginning of each document name.
To Electronically File Documents with the Board of Magistrates, Appeals Commission, and Agency Mailboxes
Uploaded documents will only be accepted from attorneys/firms approved to practice in Michigan, carriers approved to write workers' compensation in Michigan, approved self-insurers and approved group self-insurers or servicing agents approved to act on their behalf, and health care providers. If you are interested in participating, please complete form WC-480, Application for FTS User Account BOM, WDCA, WDCAC, Agency, and email it to kurikesuj@michigan.gov. Once the form is received and approved you will receive user instructions, a list of documents accepted and your User ID and password.
Once the FTS account is established, documents may be submitted for contested cases including cases pending before the Board of Magistrates, the Director, and the Workers' Disability Compensation Appeals Commission.
An insurance carrier group can have no more than one user account. Attorneys/firms may have individual user accounts or a single account to be used for the entire firm. Note: if the account is established for a firm, any documents transmitted back to that firm mailbox address will be deemed served upon the individual attorney handling the claim.
Existing account users should submit a new application for access to any additional FTS mailboxes which will be accessed by your existing user ID.
Authorized users with a User ID and password can access the FTS Portal.
