Since 2000, Michigan water well contractors have electronically filed water well, pump records, and abandoned well plugging records thanks to an application administered by EGLE: Wellogic.
Approximately 90 percent of the 12,000 to 14,000 records submitted annually are completed online using this application. Water well records are also being entered by some local health departments and State of Michigan staff.
There are over a million records in Wellogic, and all are viewable by the public and can be searched for by using 22 different search fields.
You do not need an account to search for water well records. You only need an account if you are submitting or modifying data. If you do not have an account, you can request one be created. You will need to provide basic information such as your name, address, email address, what counties you need access to, and what type of account you need.
