MiEnviro Portal for Air

Coming Soon

The Air Quality Division is modernizing how information for air quality related programs is handled. This will be done with a new electronic notification, permitting, emissions reporting, and compliance software product called MiEnviro Portal. MiEnviro Portal is built on the same web-based application known as MiWaters, used by EGLE’s Water Resources Division. This page contains more information on the schedule for release of the system as well as information related to MiEnviro Portal’s uses, training, and other resources.

What will MiEnviro Portal mean for business?

The MiEnviro Portal system gives the regulated community (contractors, consultants, municipalities, manufacturing, and commercial businesses) the ability to submit a variety of information electronically.  Incorporating the air quality information into this platform will allow for:

  • the collection of data necessary to implement the federal Clean Air Act (CAA) and state Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA)
  • a comprehensive, consolidated database that includes emissions inventory, compliance and enforcement, permitting, dry cleaning, and asbestos
  • electronic submission of compliance reports, permit applications, notifications, plans, and other information necessary to meet regulatory requirements
  • streamlined emissions reporting processes
  • advanced technology that provides more access to electronic information

What will MiEnviro Portal mean for the public?

MiEnviro Portal will allow the public access to more information than is currently available on EGLE’s webpages. There will be easier access to permit applications, compliance reports, inspections reports, and air quality related items open for public comment.

When will this happen?

MiEnviro Portal will be released in stages. The tentative timeline for the releases is included below. Additional information will be posted to this site as the various components are rolled out, so check back often.
