Building owner/operator service line material notification
For homes with service lines classified as lead status unknown
Water supplies were required to notify homes served by service lines classified as lead status unknown within 30 days of submitting the Complete Distribution Systems Materials Inventory (CDSMI) to EGLE. Additionally, water supplies are required to annually notify homes until the service line material has been identified. If the lead status unknown service line is determined to be lead or GPCL, annual notification shall continue until the service line is replaced.
For homes with service lines classified as lead or galvanized previously connected to lead (GPCL)
Water supplies must notify the owners and occupants of a premises within 30 days if the home is determined to be served by a lead service line (LSL) or a GPCL service line. Additionally, water supplies are required to annually notify homes until the service line is replaced.

Notification certification
A signed notification certification is due to EGLE annually by July 1st. The notification certification certifies that the service line material notification requirements were met for the prior calendar year.

Water supplies with lead or galvanized previously connected to lead (GPCL) service lines shall annually provide the department a summary of service line repairs or replacements. This form must be submitted by March 31st every year.
