Building Operator Training
Manufacturing is the backbone of Michigan’s economy and vital to producing products critical to the protection of human health and other items essential during emergencies. Maintaining industrial operations is a priority during economic downturns and often critical during declared disasters. Unfortunately, small manufacturers suffer from limited resources and competing priorities to pursue meaningful energy opportunities. This is especially true for small manufacturers recovering from economic shocks or located in geographically challenging areas.
Investing in process efficiency is important to sustaining a business. Improving process efficiency can increase units produced per hour which reduces the cost and energy input associated with production of each unit.

Program Priorities
Effective building operation is essential for a building to perform optimally. Efficient buildings are only efficient when managed to utilize the systems appropriately. Training of building operators will give the staff needed skills to reduce the energy use in their building through operational and equipment changes.
To address these issues EGLE Energy Services will offer financial incentives to reduce the registration costs of trainings for operators of public and non-profit buildings in Michigan. Project work must be completed between the execution of the grant agreement and 8/31/2024.
