The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons (except persons incarcerated in correctional facilities) with access to public records of public bodies. Requests to inspect or receive public records from EGLE must be in writing and describe the requested records with enough detail to enable the department to identify and locate the requested records. Some records are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA or another statute and thus will not be provided. A fee may be charged to process your request. Please note that many records are available that do not require a formal FOIA request.

EGLE will extend funding to continue offering support for event sponsorships and other training activities that provide Michigan businesses, communities, and citizens with information to make informed decarbonization decisions. Any Michigan-based organization is eligible to apply. The primary focus of the event must be related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or sustainability. Sponsored events must share event materials (e.g., marketing information, summaries, presentations, links, etc.) with EGLE to publish publicly.

Any Michigan public sector, 501c3 or 501c6 organizations, and small businesses (<500 employees) are eligible to apply. Applications should be submitted 90 days prior to the first event.
A minimum of $100,000 in funding is expected to be available for the program. The maximum individual grant award is $10,000 for an event or $100,000 for research. EGLE reserves the right to issue awards/award amounts reflecting program priorities for select events on a case by case basis. For an event, applicants are required to provide a minimum 1:1 match, and if selected will enter into a grant agreement with EGLE. Awards will be given on a first come, first served basis until funding is depleted.
