This Guidance Document (Guidebook) is a reference tool for the investigation and evaluation of potential risks to human health from the volatilization to indoor air pathway (VIAP) in Michigan.
This Guidebook is not a statutory requirement but provides EGLE staff and the regulated community, guidance for the sampling and evaluation of the VIAP and mitigation of unacceptable risks consistent with Part 201, Environmental Remediation and Part 213, Leaking Underground Storage Tanks, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA), Act 451 of 1994, as amended.
