Volume 2: Investigation Methods for the Volatilization to the Indoor Air Pathway (VIAP)
The comment period for the Volume 2 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is underway and will be closed at 5 p.m. on October 16, 2026.
The SOPs remain in draft form and are available for review along with SOPs utilized for sampling.
Volume 2 is one of seven volumes that will make up a Guidebook that updates and replaces the May 2013 EGLE Guidance Document for the Vapor Intrusion Pathway. The Guidebook is being developed into different volumes that will cover a specific topic so that when the document is completed, it is easier to identify where the information may be found.
Public review of the guidance is requested.
If you have comments on technical approach, format, or clarity, please fill out the guidance review form and submit it to EGLE-RRD@Michigan.gov by 5 p.m. on October 16, 2026.
