Career Series: Compost program coordinator’s passion for the environment started early and led him to a career at EGLE

As part of Stop Food Waste Day, today’s edition of MI Environment highlights the career of Aaron Hiday, EGLE’s compost program coordinator.

Aaron Hiday grew up on a small grass-fed beef farm in Burlington, Mich., where he learned about sound environmental practices. That put him on the path to a career in environmental protection.

Today at EGLE Hiday promotes organics recycling, while working with composters and anaerobic digesters. His career helps fulfill the passion for the environment he’s had since he was a kid.
