Michigan State University BOSS Program
Building Opportunities for Spartan Success (BOSS)
The BOSS (Building Opportunities for Spartan Success) program is facilitated by Michigan State University's Stride Center and designed to provide professional development, workplace readiness training and an on-campus Work-Based Learning Experience (WBLE) for students enrolled at Michigan State University. WBLE are valuable for a number of reasons but specifically for students in college it holds a higher significance for their post college plans and continued success. This program's goal is to allow students to gain individualized work experiences that align with their major/career aspirations and develop work readiness skills in real time.
BOSS is a semester-long program. BOSS students have a paid job for 10 weeks that matches their career interests. BOSS students also have a 1-hour weekly meeting to go over some of the hidden curriculum of workplaces and expectations.
This program is only open to students enrolled at Michigan State University.
Dates: February 9, 2026 - May 8, 2026
Location: Michigan State University (MSU) Campus
