As a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) am I able to make payments in MiUI?Yes, TPAs can make payments in MiUI as long as the employer has given them the Edit Tax Payments Update and Submit permission to do so on their behalf. However, MiUI does not allow TPAs to schedule bulk payments. If the employer has established their relationship with the TPA and has provided the TPA the correct permissions, TPA's can schedule a payment through individual employer accounts.

As a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) am I only able to make bulk payments in MiUI?TPAs can make an individual payment if they have access the employer's MiUI account and their payment profile has been established. Payment profiles from MiWAM (payment source) will need to created in MiUI after Go Live.

During the Two System Transition period should we use MiWAM or MiUI to make payments?After tax functions for MiUI Go-Live, payments will only be accepted through MiUI. Please go to MiUI University to review the Two System Transition Period QRG for detailed instructions.

What payment methods will be available for a bulk payment (e.g., ACH Credit, bulk check)?Bulk payments can be submitted via ACH Debit.

Is the ACH Credit process different in MiUI than in MiWAM?The ACH Credit payment process will remain the same. However, please note that if you are a TPA making a ACH Credit payment with Chase make sure you update their TPA ID associated with the Chase ACH payment account to MiUI TPA ID.

Will our stored payment information in MiWAM be transferred to MiUI?No, the payment information from MiWAM will need to be entered into MiUI after Go Live.

Will payroll services need to be assigned as a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to have the ability to auto pay the tax payments and filings due?Employers will need to establish a MiUI account as a TPA. As the employer, you will grant them permission by assigning the appropriate roles to file wages and make payments. The TPA then will be allowed to create a payment plan to submit payments increments. There is no "autopay" in MiUI.
