Introducing MiUI University

The Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning from its current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM) system to a new, modern platform called MiUI. Employers and third-party administrators (TPAs) started using MiUI for tax functions on February 23, 2026. Employers, TPAs, and claimants are scheduled to begin using MiUI for benefits functions later in 2026.

To help users prepare for the modern, user-friendly system, UIA has created this MiUI University website. Here, users will find a regularly updated library of resource guides, FAQs, videos, infographics, trainings, blogs, and much more.

MiUI for tax is live! Find your activation code:

Employers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) need an 8-digit MiUI Activation Code to create their MiUI account. Go to your MiWAM homepage and look under the MiUI Account Activation Code tab to retrieve the code.

After your account is initiated, you can use the link at Michigan.gov/UIA to access MiUI in the future.

Please select the Employer or TPA Account initiation option (shown below) when initiating your account.
