The Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning from its current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM) system to a new, modern platform called MiUI. Employers and third-party administrators (TPAs) started using MiUI for tax functions on February 23, 2026. Employers, TPAs, and claimants are expected to begin using MiUI for benefits functions in summer of 2026.
To help users prepare for the modern, user-friendly system, UIA has created this MiUI University website. Here, users will find a regularly updated library of resource guides, FAQs, videos, infographics, trainings, blogs, and much more.

Employers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) need an 8-digit MiUI Activation Code to create their MiUI account. Go to your MiWAM homepage and look under the MiUI Account Activation Code tab to retrieve the code.
After your account is initiated, you can use the link at Michigan.gov/UIA to access MiUI in the future.
