Education Workforce Job Fairs

Developing, supporting and sustaining a high-quality, prepared and collaborative education workforce is a high priority of the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). That’s why in 2021, we’re hosting three virtual Education Workforce Job Fairs to connect job seekers and those hiring teachers, substitute teachers, bus drivers, custodians, paraprofessionals, secretaries, administrators, and other education-related positions.

About the 2021 Job Fairs

For the 2021 job fairs, we are pleased to announce partnership with the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO). This new partnership will leverage LEO’s expertise in hosting virtual job fairs to ensure a smoother, more robust experience for both employers and job seekers, by utilizing a new platformBrazento ensure Michigan can continue to meet the demands of employers and job seekers – virtually! Please note: Brazen works best with the Google Chrome web browser, so please download the latest version prior to participating.

Information for Job-Seekers

Job-seekers can virtually connect with school districts from across the state. Registration is free, and allows job-seekers upload a resume to the platform.

Information for Employers

Employers will each be given a “virtual booth” at no cost. Districts who were not selected for the March 3 job fair have been added to a waitlist and will receive priority registration for the June and August dates. Registration for the June 16 job fair opens in Spring 201.

Signing up as an employer gives you access to:

  • Highlighting the mission & benefits of your school or organization
  • Summarizing your current job opportunities & programs
  • Posting a video about your school or organization
  • Chatting with job seekers

Following registration, the booth owner will receive additional information about status on the waiting list or about setting up the booth and adding representatives.

Registration is free but is considered a commitment to attend as there is a limit on the number of available booths. If you need to cancel, please contact Shelby Lee at Please note, because these job fairs utilize a new platform, registrations do not carry over from previous job fairs, including the Fall 2020 event. Job providers will need to re-register for the 2021 education work force job fairs.
