Curriculum and Instruction
The Office of Curriculum and Instruction (OCI) is an office within the Division of Assessment, School Improvement, and Systems Support (DASISS).
OCI provides support to local education agencies and educators to ensure each of Michigan’s students have access to high-quality, evidence-based, and innovative learning opportunities. Through the work of the Education Experiences and Literacy Units, OCI supports MDE policy development on a range of issues, including academic content standards and expectations, graduation requirements, research-based instructional methods and curriculum resources, and equitable educational experiences to support teaching and learning.
OCI values partnerships with educators, administrators, educational organizations, and institutes of higher education to ensure students remain at the heart of all educational decisions and actions.
