Public Comment on the Standards for the Mentoring and Induction of New Teachers, School Counselors, and Administrators
About the Public Comment Process
The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) will review all comments, but is not able to provide a response to individual comments. Public comment is only accepted using the official methods provided by MDE.
Note that all contents of public comment submissions, including contact information, is public information. Do not submit the following personally identifiable information about yourself or others with your comments:
- Social Security number or taxpayer ID numbers
- Credit/debit or bank numbers
- Driver's license/State ID numbers
- Date of birth
- Student-related data protected under FERPA
- Medical or health information protected under HIPAA
- Criminal justice data protected under CJIS
Do not use public comments to report any suspected illegal activity, or actions that may be dangerous to yourself or others. Only report concerns of illegal or dangerous situations with law enforcement or OK2SAY.
Timeline for Feedback on the Proposed Standards for the Mentoring and Induction of New Teachers, School Counselors, and Administrators
- All feedback on the proposed standards must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., December 22, 2025.
