61v Michigan Career and Technical Education (CTE) Expansion Grant
The 61v Michigan CTE Expansion Grant provides funding to local and intermediate school districts (up to $400,000 per new CTE program) to expand student access to, and enrollment in, high-quality CTE programs aligned with high-wage, high-skill, and high-demand occupations through Section 61v of the State School Aid Act (2025-PA-0015).
Expansion Grant Goals:
- Increase access to CTE programs in districts, particularly those in CTE deserts and/or areas with opportunity gaps.
- Increase the number of CTE programs with CTE participation rates lower than predicted and/or those without a vocational millage that supports regional programs and services.
- Ensure that all students explore potential career paths and acquire knowledge to advance their academic standing.
- Increase postsecondary credentials by providing students with stackable credentials aligned with regional industry demands.
- Increase the number of students who graduate from high school by engaging them in career-focused education and advisement, providing them with a clear pathway to future success.
