CTE Student Recruitment Videos
Michigan Department of Education's Office of Career and Technical Education (MDE-OCTE) and the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) contracted to produce five videos and two social media clips for recruiting students to CTE. The intent is that CTE programs and schools will use the videos for student recruitment statewide. MDE-OCTE and LEO are preparing to produce another set of similar videos and are seeking feedback on the existing videos. Please click the link below to access a feedback survey. Links to the videos are located at the top of the survey page.
Several new videos have been designed to recruit students into secondary and postsecondary career and technical education (CTE) programs. The videos show students how CTE can help them achieve their personal, academic, and career goals. Districts are encouraged to share and post the following videos on school websites and social media platforms.- Alexis’ Story: Welder
- Delorian’s Story: Dental Hygienist
- Ella’s Story: Chef
- Nya’s Story: Electrician
- Ashley’s Story: Nurse
