The current drafts represent input from a convening of Michigan educators and special educators in February of 2025. Please note that these are only drafts. MI-Access is currently aligned with the current alternate content expectations found in the next section.

Science
The files below are the alternate content expectations for science for the State of Michigan. These alternate content expectations align with the general K-12 Michigan science performance standards. These alternate content expectations serve as the foundation for science instruction for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities and will be the expectations to which Michigan's alternate assessment (MI-Access) in science. It is important to note that there are files that outline expectations with a Michigan Range of Complexity for Kindergarten, Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, middle school, and high school. However, MI-Access science is administered at grades 5, 8, and 11.
