Energy Services offers a variety of programs each year to catalyze growth and jumpstart Michigan entities in reaching their own energy goals.

    Planning and zoning for renewable energy siting is an important step toward creating stronger, more resilient communities. The Michigan Zoning Database is a free resource for elected officials, government employees, planners, developers, and Michigan residents.

    The Michigan Energy Codes Compliance Collaborative is comprised of builders, contractors, code officials, state agencies, energy raters, utilities, and energy advocates with the goal to identify gaps, issues, and opportunities related to compliance with the current Michigan Energy Code.

    Energy Services is working with businesses, townships, counties, cities and villages in the state to help them become EV ready.

  • Michigan K-12 Public School HVAC Assistance Michigan K-12 Public School HVAC Assistance

    Energy Services assists Michigan K-12 public schools with recommendations to reduce infectious aerosol transmission via the heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. 

Funding Opportunities

  • Energy Services has State and Federal funding available for various energy related projects, such as energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy installations (non-residential), clean technology development, EV charger installations, as well as funding for research and reports.
