Eligibility based on income (AMI)
MiHER rebate eligibility is based on the applicant’s Area Median Income (AMI) at the time of application.
- Applicants with household income below 80% AMI may qualify for enhanced rebates.
- Applicants with household income at or above 80% AMI may qualify for standard rebates.
Enhanced rebates
Customers eligible for Enhanced Rebates may receive up to 100% of the cost of qualifying upgrades, depending on:
- Estimated energy savings, and
- The scope of work recommended by the participating contractor.
Standard rebates
Customers eligible for Standard Rebates may receive up to 50% of the cost of qualifying upgrades. Any remaining project costs not covered by the rebate are the responsibility of the customer.
Rebate limitations for homeowners/renters
