2026-11-12T18:00:00 2026-11-12T19:30:00 Public information session for the proposed Villages of Parkside II & V housing development, Wayne County

A public information session about the Response Activity Plan will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, regarding Villages of Parkside II & V Housing Development.

The developers plan to construct 11 multi-story apartment buildings in areas that historically received contaminated fill material after the prior buildings were demolished. The fill material is contaminated with metals and petroleum compounds and contains scattered demolition debris.

The developers plan to excavate contaminated fill in the footprints of the proposed buildings and construct exposure barriers over the remaining contaminated fill in future greenspace areas, walkways, stormwater ponds/swales, a solar field, and parking lots. This is for the proposed Villages of Parkside II & V Development.
