Unemployment Insurance for Employers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs)

Between now and later in 2026, tax functionalities will be available in MiUI while benefit functionalities will continue to be accessed in MiWAM. Find more information on which system to log in to and when on our two-system transition period guide.

If you have employees covered by Michigan UI law, you must register for an employer account.

Register for most Michigan business taxes, and/or a sales tax license using an online e-Registration application. You must have your Federal EIN/FEIN to register. Learn more in the MiUI toolkit.
