Welcome to the #GoOpen Michigan Webpage! Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and repurposing by others.

OER include full courses, course materials, modules, tech-books, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge. As we move towards the creation of authentic personalized learning environments, access to distinct learning objects is the essence of OER, which will support ongoing efforts.

#GoOpen Michigan is a community of educators and learners who access and contribute free, openly licensed, high-quality digital resources to enable equitable transformative learning experiences.

Explore these pages to learn more about what open educational resources are, why OER are valuable for teachers and learners, and how to get involved with #GoOpen Michigan.
