  • Upcoming Events from Assessment and Accountability

    Fall Accountability Workshops

    New to school accountability or need a refresher? Would you like to learn more about navigating, interpreting, and using school accountability reports and data? The Michigan Department of Education Office of Educational Assessment and Accountability (OEAA) Accountability Team is holding FREE, in-person and virtual interactive learning sessions. These 1/2 day workshops will include informational and interactive data sessions on Michigan's federally approved school accountability system—the Michigan School Index. Informational sessions will provide a detailed overview of the School Index and go over foundational accountability concepts. Interactive sessions will explore report navigation and the applied interpretation/use of school accountability data to answer school improvement questions.

    • West Side Workshop (Kent ISD): Tuesday, September 22, 2026 
    • Mid-Michigan Workshop (Saginaw ISD): Thursday, October 1, 2026
    • Virtual Workshop (Microsoft Teams): Wednesday, October 14, 2026
    • East Side Workshop (Wayne RESA): The workshop at Wayne RESA is currently in the planning phase and will be available for registration soon. This workshop will be a full day and will include discussion of both assessment and accountability.
