When students and staff are healthy, academic achievement is increased. Healthier students make healthier, safer and more productive communities. The School Health and Safety unit provides leadership, guidance and support to local and intermediate school districts on comprehensive school health and safety issues regarding the Whole Child, Whole School and Whole Community.
