Available Credential Reports

The credential search page provides an interactive, searchable list of all state-approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) credentials collected and published through the Michigan Career and Technical Education Information System (CTEIS). Users can search for credentials by program, location, or keyword (including career cluster, CIP code, program name, credential name, or vendor) to find credentialing options tied to specific CTE programs. The report also links to additional resources such as postsecondary credit agreements, credential summary reports, and credentialing maps. All credentials that have been approved at the state level will be displayed for the selected CIP code, even if they are not offered in every location.

Printable Reports

Credential reports on the Michigan CTE Reports website can be generated to selected parameters and viewed or printed in pdf format. These reports are useful for formatted presentation-quality reports. To generate a report, scroll to the “WBL and Credentials” heading on the left and click the down arrow to display all available reports. Choose the report of interest. Parameters available for the report will be shown on the page with instructions for generating the specific report. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the parameters of interest and click the green “Run Report” button. The most recent report will display on the page and other available years of data will display on the right. To generate a pdf of the displayed report, click the down-arrow icon and choose “Acrobat (PDF) file” from the drop-down menu. You will find the downloaded pdf of the report in your download folder.

  • Perkins Performance Evaluation reports. These reports include data for all secondary Core Performance Indicators (CPIs) including 5S1 – Program Quality – Attained Recognized Postsecondary Credential. Core Performance Indicator 5S1 is reported for all secondary CTE Concentrators (students who have completed 2 or more courses in a single program of study) and who graduated from high school in the year prior to the report. Data compiled in different ways can be generated at the state, Career Education Planning District (CEPD), 61a.(1) fiscal agency, building, CIP Code, federal career cluster or region levels. These reports are available for 2019-2020 and later.
    • Area Totals. Shows the state required performance level, actual percentage, and counts in the numerator and denominator. 
    • Area Totals by CIP Code. Shows the numerator and denominator counts and percentage for each indicator by CIP Code. 
    • Area Totals by Entity. This shows the numerator, denominator and percentage for individual 61a.(1) fiscal agencies (if generated for a CEPD) or buildings (if generated for a fiscal agency). 
    • Area Totals by Special Populations. Shows the numerator, denominator and percentage for each special population for each indicator, including 5S1.  
  • Approved CTE Credentials Offered by Districts. This report will list all of the programs by CIP Code in the selected entity (state, region, CEPD, district, building, etc.) It will display the total unduplicated enrollments for that program and the total number of Approved Credentials granted in the selected school year.
  • List of All State-Approved Credentials. This link goes to the Credential Search website.
  • Michigan School CTE Program Credentials. The Michigan School CTE Program Credentials report lists all of the CTE programs within the selected Entity (Fiscal District or Building) and the types of approved credentials that have been granted in the year selected. The report shows only the names of the credentials earned, but to maintain student confidentiality the report does not show the number of each type of credential earned. Report can be generated by 61a.(1) fiscal agency, building, CIP Code, or federal career cluster. Data are available for years 2019-2020 and later.

Credential Dashboards

The CTEIS Dashboard – Enrollment and Outcomes includes two credential dashboards:

  • Credential Attainment by Cluster provides a comprehensive view of Recognized Postsecondary Credentials earned by students, organized by career cluster, credential type, and student advancement status. It also highlights the most frequently earned credentials. The data includes duplicated counts of students who earned a credential by CIP code, as well as duplicated counts of credentials by CIP code. Data are available from 2019-20 and later. Graphs can be generated by CIP Code by operating agency or by Region/CEPD. Small numbers are suppressed. 
  • Credential Attainment Trends provides a detailed overview of Recognized Postsecondary Credentials earned by students, with data disaggregated by gender, race, and special population categories. For each student group, a three-year trend chart illustrates changes in credential attainment over time. The data reflects duplicated counts of students who earned a credential by CIP code during the selected school year. Data are available for 2019-20 and later. Graphs can be generated by CIP Code, operating agency or Region/CEPD. Small numbers are suppressed.

The MI CTE Dashboards show:

  • Perkins CPIs – Race and Gender show graphs and data tables for the Perkins Core Performance Indicators (including 5S1-Credential Attainment). Graphs and data tables can be generated by race, by gender or by race and gender combined, by Perkins V region, CEPD, operating agency, building federal career cluster, CIP Code, and program type (regular or CTE EMC). Data are available for 2019-20 and later. Several data views are available including counts, rankings, trends, and maps. 
  • Perkins CPIs – Special Pops shows core performance indicator data in table form for all special populations and can be displayed by Perkins region, CEPD, operating agency, building, federal career cluster, CIP Code, and program type (regular, CTE EMC). Small numbers are suppressed. Data are available for 2019-20 and later.

Unsuppressed Core Performance Indicator Reports (restricted access)

CTE personnel with authorized access can log in to the Career and Technical Education Information System (CTEIS) using MILogin and view PV CPI (Core Performance Indicator) reports, including 5S1 - Program Quality – Attained Recognized Postsecondary Credential without cell suppression. The reports can be generated as area totals, area totals by CIP code and gender, or race, or special populations at the state, region, CEPD, 61a1 fiscal agency, operating agency, building, federal cluster, or CIP Code. Data are available for 2019-20 and later. To access, go to the MILogin page and choose CTEIS. From the main screen, choose “PV CPI/Enrollments Reports Pilot” under the “Reports” header under the “Reports” menu.
