Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program: General program and priority area information
A request for proposals (RFP) under the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program (MISGP) will be released with applications due November 1, 2026. The 2026 MISGP program will provide up to $2.4 million in grant funding in priority areas and CISMA support. The purpose of the MISGP is to provide funding and technical assistance to prevent, detect, eradicate, manage and control terrestrial and aquatic invasive species. Staff from the Michigan departments of Natural Resources; Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy; and Agriculture and Rural Development will explain program goals, 2026 priorities, applicant eligibility and the application process with opportunities for questions from potential applicants.
Please note the MISGP RFP and handbook will not be available until September 1, 2026.
