MI Green School Guide: project catalog
Recycling program

Reducing waste going to landfills can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate climate change. Recycling is one way school communities can keep waste out of landfills. By teaching school community members about recycling, people can increase the amount they recycle in their everyday lives. Creating and expanding school recycling programs encourages school sustainability and supports green habits among community members. Not every school has access to recycling services, but recycling education can still support sustainability skills among students.
