Mike Alexander
Conservation and Stewardship Division Director
Michael (Mike) Alexander is the Conservation and Stewardship Division Director for the Bureau of Environment and Sustainability within the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Before becoming Division Director in March 2024, Mike spent 27 years working for the Water Resources Division of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy working to protect and monitor Michigan's surface waters by establishing water quality standards, assessing the health of aquatic communities, and overseeing aquatic invasive species concerns.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Master of Science degree in entomology from Michigan State University.
