Tim White
Consumer Protection Division Director
Tim White is the Director of the Consumer Protection Division where he oversees staff and activities for the Weights and Measures Program, Motor Fuels Quality Program, Metrology Laboratory, and Central Licensing Unit as part of the Bureau of Laboratories.
Tim is a member of the National Conference and Weights and Measures where he serves on the Fuels and Lubricants subcommittee and is a member of ASTM International. He has been involved in numerous special projects and consumer protection investigations related to both motor fuels and weights and measures.
Tim graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in biology along with minors in both Conservation and Resource Use and General Science. He began his career as a management trainee at Frank’s Nursery and Crafts (\a horticulture-based retailer) joining the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in 1990 as an investigator trainee and has held many positions throughout his career within the Motor Fuels Quality Program; including being named Motor Fuels Quality Program Manager in 2011 a position he held through 2023.
