The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is the state's marketing arm and lead advocate for business development, job awareness and community and talent development with the focus on growing Michigan's economy.

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority provides financial and technical assistance through public and private partnerships to create and preserve safe and decent affordable housing.

The mission of the State Land Bank Authority is to promote economic growth in this state through the acquisition, assembly and disposal of public property, including tax reverted property, in a coordinated manner to foster the development of that property, and to promote and support land bank operations at the county and local levels.

Unemployment Insurance operates Michigan's unemployment insurance program, which collects unemployment taxes from employers and provides temporary income for workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own. Unemployment Insurance offers online services to customers through the Michigan Web Account Manager. 

Employment and Training promotes a flexible, innovative, and effective workforce system within the State of Michigan and oversees the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons, Michigan Rehabilitation Services, and Workforce Development.

The Labor Division oversees the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Workers' Compensation, Bureau of Employment Relations, Wage and Hour and the Michigan Employment Relations Commission.
