Bridget Clark Whitney

Bridget Clark Whitney is the President and Founding CEO of Kids’ Food Basket, a children’s food equity organization that nourishes thousands of children and families in West Michigan facing food insecurity and poverty with daily, healthy evening meals. During Mrs. Clark Whitney’s 18-year tenure and under her leadership, Kids’ Food Basket has become one of the largest anti-hunger and childhood nutrition programs in Michigan.

Clark Whitney has a B.A. in Community Leadership and Communications from Aquinas College. She earned a M.S. in Social Justice from Marygrove College. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Non-Profit Executive Management and a Certificate of Fundraising Management from Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Bridget was also selected as one of 50 nonprofit professionals from around the world to complete the Executive Program in Nonprofit Leadership Program and Certification from Stanford University.

She is an active board member for the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA) and serves on the Executive, Development and Membership Committee. She was the 2013 MNA Super Conference Co-Chair and Co-Chair of the Michigan Campus Compact Civic Engagement Institute. She also served as a board member for HQ (Homeless and Runaway Youth Drop-In Center). She is an Advisory Board Member for Michigan Women Forward, as well as serves on numerous food and equity-related committees at the local, state and national levels. She was named the ATHENA Young Professional of the Year in 2013, Grand Rapids Business Journal’s “50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan” and “Top 200 Business Leaders” in 2020.
