The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

Service Area: Kent, Montcalm, Ottawa Counties
Cherry Health AmeriCorps engages 25 full-time AmeriCorps members in service assignments that aim to improve health care access for the underserved. Members provide services such as Medicaid application assistance, health education, interpretation, and supportive services designed to close gaps in health care and decrease health disparities. Members participate in health-focused community service projects and team meetings to create a dynamic team environment and promote personal and professional development.
