Flint Recovery Corps
College Completion Corps
The Michigan College Access Network College Completion Corps is a statewide AmeriCorps program that currently places 30, full-time AmeriCorps members at 25 college campuses. AmeriCorps members serve as Completion Coaches and support students as they strive to complete their certificate, associate, or to successfully transfer to a four year institution. Members support a student cohort of 100-150 students who are first-generation, low-income, and/or students of color with focus on college persistence and completion. Members meet one-on-one with students to address challenges that arise, facilitate group activities to boost sense of belonging and self-efficacy, and engage in technology-based interactions to bring awareness of academic policies, important dates, and relevant deadlines.
